This is what happens when a bunch of designers and animators come together to create something nice, just for the sake of it. We wanted to practice our skills in craft, concept, storytelling and teamwork. We wanted to combine skills. Furthermore, we also wanted to do something nice for planet earth, nothing too crazy, but just a nice gesture.
I brought together my all-star team and after a few brainstorm sessions we created a small treatment. We decided to combine all kinds of different styles to create a short sarcastic scene, that makes fun of the word 'Plastic Soup' and we turned it into an actual plastic soup vending machine.
"Globally, 100,000 marine mammals die every year as a result of plastic pollution. This includes whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea lions."
- WWF
"The average person eats at least 50,000 particles of microplastic a year."
- The Guardian
